Cutest Kids Photo Contest
OFFICIAL RULES
1.NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2.Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Central Alabama Moms Like Me Cutest Kids Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is open to Alabama residents who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Advertiser Company, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Gannett Co., Inc., all participating sponsors appearing in the Central Alabama Moms Like Me Official Cutest Kids Photo Sweepstakes, and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win.
3.How To Enter. The photo entry period will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 and will end at midnight (C.T.) Tuesday, May 5, 2009. To enter, register at http://montgomeryadvertiser.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=6785, completing all required information, follow all posted instructions, and post your photo in the Contest before midnight, (C.T.) May 5, 2009. Photos should be of your own children. Entrants may enter as many photos as they wish. Each photo submission must be an authentic, original photograph taken by entrant who must own the copyright in the photograph submitted. Digital photos must be at least 4” wide and have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Poor quality photos will not be accepted. Sponsor will accept the formats of jpeg and tiff. The photo should be cropped as the registered user prefers. Images must not have been digitally altered in any way other than necessary cropping. All photos become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Copyrighted photos must be accompanied by a photographer’s release. Sponsor reserves the right to refuse any photograph it determines to be unacceptable.
Only one prize per person. If multiple photos are entered by a registered user, the photo with the most votes will be the only photo to which prize consideration is given for that person.
Ad blocking software on your computer needs to be disabled so that it doesn’t interfere with processing your entry. Your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology, which may be used for entry tracking. By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive e-mails from Sponsor or those directed by Sponsor. You can opt-out of the receipt of such e-mails by following the directions on the contest website or in any email received from Sponsor. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
4.Winner Selection. There will be one (1) First Place Winner and nine (9) runners-up. Winner and runners-up will be selected based on total votes only for each photo. Voting will begin at 6:00 am (C.T.) Wednesday, May 6, 2009 and will end at 11:59:00pm (C.T.) Saturday, May 9, 2009.
Go to http://montgomeryadvertiser.upickem.net/engine/Votes.aspx?PageType=VOTING&contestid=6785 to submit your vote for your favorite photo. Online voting is limited to persons 13 years and older. Only one (1) of vote per person per day will be accepted. In the event of a tie, Sponsor will randomly pick the winners from the tied entries. Winners will be selected and notified on Monday, May 11, 2009. Any questions regarding the number of votes submitted shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any votes by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.
5.Prizes and Odds. 1st Place Winner will receive two (2) Jubilee CityFest Weekend passes and two Jubilee CityFest KidsFest tickets with a total value of $90. The first three (3) runners-up will receive MomsLikeMe.com canvas totebags. The next six (6) runners-up will receive MomsLikeMe tee-shirts. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible photos and the number of eligible votes for each qualified entry received.
6.Winner Notification and Acceptance. Winners will be posted on Monday, May 11, 2009 on centralalabama.momslikeme.com homepage. Winners will have 10 (ten) days to contact the centralalabama.momslikeme.com site administrator to claim their prize Failure to contact the site administrator may result in forfeiture of his or her interest in all prizes, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Winners must be willing to allow the Advertiser Company, Inc. to take a photo of their family to be used for promotion purposes on the CentralAlabama.MomsLikeMe.com website. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winners. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release which must be returned before the prize is awarded. Failure to complete, sign and return the affidavit, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
7. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
8.Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
9.Sponsor. The Central Alabama Moms Like Me Cutest Kids Photo Contest is sponsored by Central Alabama.MomsLikeMe.com. The decisions of the Sponsors regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest. Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
